# Fleet guide

## Master-data controls

Maintain manufacturers, aircraft types, owners, leases, aircraft, engines, home bases, operational airport, capacities, hours/cycles, insurance, airworthiness, and documents. Registration numbers and serial numbers are unique. Lease end must not precede lease start, and inactive bases cannot be assigned.

Private documents are stored outside the public web root under generated names. Original names are metadata and downloads pass through tenant and permission checks.

## Fleet operations

Use the fleet board for status, operational location, current/next/last flight, availability, hours/cycles, maintenance, and defects. Availability blocks cover maintenance, grounding, lease, and manual unavailability. Manual utilization adjustments require reason, previous/new values, approval where configured, and an audit trail.

Before assignment, investigate Grounded, Under Maintenance, Out of Service, critical/AOG defects, overdue mandatory maintenance, missing return-to-service approval, expired insurance, and expired airworthiness/documents. These are enforced by backend eligibility services; changing a badge or hiding a warning cannot bypass them.

No live geographical tracking exists. Reconcile operational location through completed flight activity and authorized manual location changes.
